Missing Mercury?

Hey Mercury, it’s been great! With your cliffs, your craters, your bleak black plains. Who could forget those frigid nights and scorching days? And that huge sun hanging about ten feet overhead like a giant yolk ready to burst at any second…well, maybe not so much great as, hmmm, memorable. But still, thanks for the hospitality. I’m sure we’ll miss you–some. And do share a few of your secrets with our friend, Messenger. Those nice NASA folks went to a LOT of trouble and fancy flying to get him to you.

As for you Space Bloggers, enjoy your last Mercurial weekend! Check the Messenger site for more pictures and mission updates. Find out what your fellow Space Bloggers have been saying  by clicking on ‘Comments’ below each Destination One post. Leave a comment yourself to share your parting thoughts on Mercury. And rest up!

Monday morning we blast off for Destination Two!
